kiaora, it seems you have been having a problem for quite some time. I haven't looked at all the dump files as you have 33 dating back to February of this year. Do you recall what new program you installed then? It may help diagnose what the problem is. I did check the last 5 dump files and each one was exactly the same.

Norton was referenced first in each one
    Code:
    lmvm SYMNETS
    start end module name
    fffff880`06abf000 fffff880`06b55000 SYMNETS T (no symbols)
        Loaded symbol image file: SYMNETS.SYS
        Image path: \SystemRoot\System32\Drivers\NISx64\1505000.013\SYMNETS.SYS
        Image name: SYMNETS.SYS

You may note the date of the driver. It is Symantec/ Norton NIS/ N360 driver

The other one noted was a Windows driver

    Code:
     lmvm NETIO

Norton is a well know cause of BSODs, so I would like you to uninstall it using the Norton Removal tool ( https://support.norton.com/sp/en/us/...rProfile_en_us )
and replace it with Microsoft Security Essentials ( Microsoft Security Essentials - Microsoft Windows ) That may help, at least until we see if that is in fact the cause.

I also noticed quite a few errors blamed on Cyberlink. It has a process that continually scans your media files and has been known to use considerable resources. Some have reported 100% CPU usage. You will have to decide how important that is to you. But if it is using that much resources, it needs to be dealt with.

Once you have done that, please open a elevated command prompt ( click start, type cmd in the search box, right click on the cmd entry and select run as administrator) in the black box that opens, copy/paste sfc /scannow. If you decide to type it, notice the space between the sfc and the /. It is a system file checker which will scan your system files and attempt to correct any missing or corrupt files. What we want are the results to say windows found no integrity violations. If it says files were found but could not be repaired, close the box, reboot and run it again, after opening the administrative command prompt. You may have to reboot and run it three times for it to repair all system files. If it can't repair them after 3 reboots, let us know.

Please run chkdsk. This will tell you how Disk Check

I would also recommend you to download your hard drive manufacturers diagnostic tool and run the long and short tests. It is always better to run the test for DOS. If you will let me know the manufacturer, maybe I could find a link for you. Once you have done these things, please let us know how it goes with you. If you have any more BSODs, please upload the files again.

Also please update your Graphics card driver. Download the latest WHQL driver from https://www.sevenforums.com/graphic-c...ndows-7-a.html . Uninstall the current driver than follow these instructions. Drivers - Clean Left over Files after Uninstalling by selecting ATI Display drivers only. After that is finished and you have rebooted, please install the new driver you have already downloaded. During the installation, please select custom install. Only install the parts of the driver you actually use. For example, you do not need the audio or HDMI drivers from AMD. You have on board audio drivers and they only improve the chances of driver conflicts. You also do not need CCC, you actually only need the Display driver unless you actually use any of the other parts of the driver download.

It may also help if you go to your Motherboard's web sits, for your board and update any newer drivers than the ones you have. Look especially for a newer Chipset driver and a newer Lan driver.

While you are there, you may look to see if there is a more current BIOS update than the one you currently have.

    Update:
    Hi Essenbe
Not sure what programs I installed in Feb but I think I may have installed Norton in Feb. Here's what I have done so far.
1.I have un-installed Norton Internet Security and installed Microsoft Essentials
    2.Uninstalled Cyberlink Power DVD
    3. Did the sfc /scannow - there were no errors there
    4. Did run chkdsk - again all clear there
Here is my hard drive details.
    It's a 500gb Seagate Model: ST500DM002-1BD142, Serial: Z2AFN2S3, Firmware: KC44
I don't have any blank cds to boot from for the diagnostics tool for the hard drive so will have to go and buy some unless I can boot from a USB drive? Thanks again for your help.

I've never tried Seatools from a USB drive, but you should be able to do it if the download is an ISO file. A program like Rufus ( http://rufus.akeo.ie/downloads/rufus-1.4.10.exe ) should put it on a USB drive. Seatools can be found at SeaTools | Seagate They have a program for DOS and one to install. The DOS one is a better test as the hard drive is not in use while the test is run, But the installed one will work too.

    Hi Essenbe,
Here's the latest update. I managed to do the long and short test on my hard drive with the seagate tools which came back clear. Updated the drivers for my graphics card using the method you suggested. I found the drivers for my motherboard, chipset, lan and bios. Not sure that I will update those as I don't know what I'm doing and don't want to kill my computer. My computer to seems quite stable and the moment and feels like it is running a lot smoother. Thanks again for all your help. I really appreciate it.

I hope your good luck continues. Please keep us informed. It should not hurt to install the motherboard drivers, if you start having problems, but I would wait on the bios update. But, as long as you are running stable, I would leave everything alone, but save the drivers.

Ok. Thanks again Essenbe. By the way I forgot to ask. Should I stick with Microsoft Security Essentials or is there another AV program you would recommend?

From a BSOD perspective, that is the only AV that has never been the cause of a BSOD. I would suggest you keep it for a while and make sure you are perfectly stable. Once you are absolutely sure, if you are fairly tech savvy, you could try the free version of Avast. It is very good, but requires you to set it up correctly. The free version is pretty much self explanatory, I think, the paid version requires a little more. But the AV is pretty good.
