BSoD after firefox crashes help
This started just today where firefox would close randomly and have an error message up asking if I wanted to quit or restart firefox. Doing either leads me straight to a BSoD. Here's the dump file.

Well after a few more BSoD, the problem isn't firefox. I would get a BSoD after getting to the desktop for about 5 mins in normal start up, and programs would not start or force quit leading into it.

Hey, thanks for the help, appreciate it. I tried your suggestion but that did not work. I have since messed around with a bunch of stuff after reading some of the threads here and what got rid of my BSoD was removing one of my stick of rams that I assume is faulty. However, I have some questions if you do not mind answering.
1) I had a few programs I had to redo since they refused to start up or were having problems. Is this the sign of something greater or did the ram going faulty cause all of this and I just simply need to reinstall said programs?
2) Is the problem really the ram? I know the BSoD going away makes it seem that way but I didn't have a way to get the memtest program to run it so it was simply a wild guess that my ram is the problem. Should I see if it's the slot on the motherboard that's the problem or something else?
Thanks for the help, I really have no clue what I'm doing here and don't wanna break something/ignore a bigger potential problem.

A faulty ram stick might have been your problem, when opening programs.
However the BSOD you received was nothing to do with RAM. It was graphic driver related.
If you receive any more BSOD's be sure to post them and i will re analyze them for you

The BSoD is gone for now, but my computer is freezing every now and then, requiring a hard restart. Any clue as to what might be the problem?

It could be down to anything.
Keep an eye on what you are doing when it freezes and report back

I did a system restore to an earlier date and it seems fine now, so I think while I was updating drivers I messed something up. I'm afraid to update drivers now but that's what led to the BSoDs in the first place I think. Should I just update my video card drivers as your first post says and leave it at that?
