I did this and restarted the computer as told, now it crashes before entering windows. It gives two option upon rebooting. Launch startup repair and start windows normally.

I've restored using the point I just created.

Attached are the dump files. I attempted a normal reboot a couple times with the same result.

OK the first one

NEC Electronics USB 3.0 Host Controller Driver The older ones, like yours are a BSOD problem. I would try to update the driver from the manufacturer of the card or Gigabyte. NEC was bought out by http://www.renesas.com/supp/ drivers can be updated there, but in takes registration and a lot of research.

Code:
usbfilter
start end module name

AMD USB Filter Driver (likely part of the chipset drivers)

Thanks Essenbe! Just to clarify, I can update the drivers from gigabyte? I'm going to try updating the Bios also and if crap hits the fan I'll go buy a new motherboard!

If the USB 3.0 is part of the Motherboard, yes you can update it from Gigabyte. If you are using an add on card, try the manufacturer's web site. NEC made cards for a whole lot of companies.

If you are on the new wireless card, don't use the drivers on the disk. Go to the manufacturer's web site and get the drivers there, they will be much more current. Get the new Nvidia drivers for your EVGA card and install them using this NVIDIA Drivers - Avoid Problems I don't recall what GPU you were using before, but those drivers need to be completely cleaned out. If it was an Nvidia card, that link above should do it.

I am going to ask for help with the last dumps. I get nothing from them.

I wasn't able to run the driver verifier yesterday. I followed the links as best I could and once I restarted so it would run it would give me the bsod then restart and keep recycling the bsod over and over. I had to go back to my restore point.

Since then I have updated all my motherboard drivers although I was unable to update the BIOS. I would attempt to run it and it says it's incompatible with 64 bit. There is no other option on Gigabytes website, there is only one. I'm lost.

See if this is your board. Put which OS in the right drop down box and it will give you the drivers, then select BIOS in the left drop down box and it will give you the Bios versions. Your last bios is F7.

Mine is rev. 2.2. It appears to be the same driver. Should I try anyway?

BSOD regularly haven't noticed pattern
Hi all, I've been having BSOD's quite regularly (about once an hour) in the last few months. I have no idea what might be causing it, though I see in the minidumps it has something to do with the driver ntfs.sys, and thus be linked to my hard drives. I wouldn't know which one though, I have 2...
