2 ways, your board has a one time boot menu, where you can use that to select which drive, CD/DVD or usb to boot into, but does not change your boot order in bios. Or you can put the CD in the DVD drive, boot into bios and set your DVD to 1st boot device and hard drive to 2ND boot device. F10, I believe is save and exit, and it should boot into the DVD, You don't have to do anything. Let it run for 8 complete passes or until you get an error. If you get an error, you can stop it right there, the ram has failed. The test will run until you stop it. Stop it by pressing the Escape key. No matter what message you get when the test starts, don't press any keys. I don't know what the one time boot menu key is on Gigabyte boards. It's different for each Manufacturer. Gigabyte's one time boot menu may be F12.

Let me know when you have the results. Mote 'fun' when you finish that. Also, if I haven't said so already, if you ate overclocking, [lease set everything to default levels, after memtest86+ is completed. I trust you downloaded the test from the web site in the instructions I gave. Good night.

8 hours and it's still working on the second round.... If it doesn't hurry up I'm going to quite it so I can remove the graphics card for replacement and I'll have to start it again.

If it takes 8 hours to do 2 passes, something is bad wrong. Did you get an RMA from EVGA? Good job, if so. How did it go wih EVGA support?

If you look at the top right, it should be moving fairly quickly.

Nothing is moving fast. Here is a shot where it's at currently.

Stop the test and remove the 2 2GB sticks. Never mix ram, always use a kit. A kit is tested to work together, individual sticks are not. Doing that is asking for problems. I t appears the timings may be different, but I can't really tell.
