Open a elevated command prompt ( click start, type cmd in the search box, right click on the cmd entry and select run as administrator) in the black box that opens, copy/paste sfc /scannow. If you decide to type it, notice the space between the sfc and the /. It is a system file checker which will scan your system files and attempt to correct any missing or corrupt files. What we want are the results to say windows found no integrity violations. If it says files were found but could not be repaired, close the box, reboot and run it again, after opening the administrative command prompt. You may have to reboot and run it three times for it to repair all system files. If it can't repair them after 3 reboots, let us know.

Also, please run Blue Screen of Death (BSOD) Posting Instructions

just had another BSOD while using winamp and word 2007. Same error for not writing the dump file, 0xC0000010.

starting to think it's more of a hardware issue, as the software still says that there are no issues.

So, there's no dump files to attach, I tried creating one, no dump files, if you want another file without the dump, I can create one.

Please look in C:Windows and see if there is a file named Minidump there. If not create one. follow this and make sure it is set to Small Memory dumps also make sure your virtual memory is 'windows managed' Virtual Memory Paging File - Change See #8, but leave it checked to let Windows manage the space.

Yes, I have looked there after the recent BSOD's, no files. I created the folder because the computer refuses to write dump files completely.

went to change the paging, it was around 2gb in space, I changed it to let windows manage it for all drives.

I'm kind of at a loss. All that should work. Try to make it look like this and see. This is mine and it will create dump files.

I attempted that, but, after some more BSOD's the registry got corrupt, to a point where I was completely unable to log in windows. I'm in the middle of re installing everything, but, I decided to change the anti virus, as just before I noticed a lot of weird folders and processes running, I didn't tamper with them, but, it was really weird getting a BSOD when attempting a virus check...

anyways, I will post back if I get a BSOD. Thanks a lot for the help!

When you finish the clean install, install Macrium and Paragon and make a system image in folder on a backup hard drive. Make the recovery disks, and hopefully you will never have to do a clean install again. Just restore the image. They are both free. Always use at least 2 in case one fails to work.
