    hey all,

i just recently installed windows 7 64bit version ... and ever since i have been having trouble where my computer just freezes. i never had a problem when i was on vista.

what usually happens is that i loose wireless connection, then everything slows down if i try to shutdown the computer will just stay on the shut down screen. the only thing i can do i manually shutdown (keeping hold of the power button).

once restarted i get the following error

Navigate to C:/windows/minidump and zip up any .dmp files an upload them as an attachment for analysis...

Your crash is a "Stop 0x124" - a hardware error report being passed along by Windows.

Either one of the hardware drivers is "driving" in a way that gives the hardware component conniptions, or the hardware is actually broken. Suggestions:

    1) Update your BIOS.
    2) Update all hardware-related drivers (NIC, chipset, video...).
    3) Don't overclock.
    4) Ensure adequate cooling.
    5) Take it back to the shop if 0x124 errors persist.
