Log collector apps do not work

I am trying to collect the log info for posting here, but neither DM log collector or SF Diagnostic tool will work. They both run to completion, and say the file is on the Desktop, but the file is not there. I have checked for hidden files and folders too, cannot find them. Any ideas? Thanks

If your computer is not creating DMP Files please follow this link: Dump Files - Configure Windows to Create on BSOD

It is creating dmp files, I have looked at them with BlueScreenViewer. And the collector apps indicate that they are collecting correctly and that they have finished and put the file/folder on the Desktop. But it is not there in either case.

What user name are you running on? Are there spaces in the user name?

My friend has this set up with an administrator account, no spaces in the user name.

Run it from a normal profile.

I created a Standard user account and ran it from there, still not creating the file. Thanks

I only had this computer for the weekend, my friend has taken it back now. If I get it back I'll post back here. Thanks
