    BSOD Playing Battlefield 4 hal.dll 0x124

Hi, I have had a BSOD whilst playing Battlefield 4. The error is 0x124 which I assume is a hardware error and would like to know what specific hardware and I think you guys can find out. My PC is a i5 4670k, gtx 760 z87-hd3 with 8gb ram and 1tb hdd. I have had blue screens in the past relating to the integrated graphics driver (before I had my gpu) and the USB drivers. But this was a few months back and none since, until now.

If you need any more information, please ask.

    Thanks.

Okay im going to ask another member of the Forum to come and take a look, it would appear to me that you have an ASUS key installed on a NovaTech.

    I though so.

       Note
    4) No piracy or discussion of piracy allowed at all. Such as software, music, videos and other intellectual property violations (e.g. downloading youtube videos locally etc).

Your copy of windows is not genuine, Supports end here.

Counterfeit installations such as yours contain heavily modified code that causes the installation to behave it unexpected ways. Analyzing BSOD's and determining their causes on these sorts of installations is very unreliable. For this reason, many analysts won't attempt it.

My recommendation is to install a genuine Windows 7. This will minimize the problems you are experiencing, and make subsequent diagnosis of BSOD's far more reliable. Once you are running a genuine Windows 7 installation, and are still experiencing BSOD's, we will be happy to help you solve them.

Yeah, the alienware part was me trying to show off to a friend. I have since lost my other serial since the windows was not installed by me. Sorry about that, so I am not reinstalling windows.

    Thanks for your help anyway.
I decided that it is my CPU because the error is: X64_0x124_GenuineIntel_PROCESSOR_CACHE
If anyone still wants to poke into it and help me make sure my CPU isn't dying and I'll have to buy a £200 new one feel free. I am not going to close the thread. Mods you can close it if you need, I won't make another thread.

    Thanks again.
