What I'm going to do is ask the other BSOD guys to take a look at your latest dump to see if anything stands out to them that I'm missing. I'm pretty certain this is a hardware fault and would have hung my hat on it being RAM, I'll just double check that you definitely ran MemTest86+ for 8 complete passes? I'm not questioning your computer literacy here either mate, it's just that some people do get confused and don't actually run it for 8 passes and it's pretty crucial to the results.

I'll give the other guys the heads up to come and take a look, more heads will definitely be better than one in this case I think.

Oh, no worries. I'm not offended at all.

I definitely ran it for 8 passes. 9 in fact, just to be sure. No errors.

I truly appreciate the help and hope to find a solution, because not being able to use my laptop fully is becoming obnoxious. I just got the thing.

I'm going to post to the BSOD team now to come and take a look. It is still possible that your AV suite/s are causing this, would you definitely be averse to uninstalling your current ones and running MSE and MalwareBytes just for testing purposes?

Oh, no. As I said previously, if that's the best course of action, I'm absolutely willing. Say the word and they're gone.

I'd be very tempted to rule them out but let's see what the other guys have to say first.

Hi blackshade .

This bug check code is usually a hardware issue, considering you have tested the RAM
it is probably not the issue (although memtest is not perfect and can give a clean bill of health
to faulting RAM sometimes).

Code:
UNEXPECTED_KERNEL_MODE_TRAP (7f)

Arguments:
Arg1: 0000000000000010, EXCEPTION_NPX_ERROR
Arg2: 0000000080050031
Arg3: 00000000000006f8
Arg4: 00000000500221ba
Code:
NPX = Numeric Processor Extension
What should concern us with this bugcheck is Arg 1, which in this case equals to 10 across
all of the uploaded dumps. That being consistent leads me to believe there's something wrong
with the CPU (you already have the latest BIOS offered by gateway),
looking at the failure bucket hints at it as well.
Code:
FAILURE_ID_HASH_STRING: km:x64_0x7f_10_nt!kifloatingerrorfault+16a

// With spaces | floating (point) error fault
How hot does the CPU get?

Test for thermals and stability:
  • Download HWinfo and post a Screenshot of the sensors window,
  • one at idle and another while putting load on the PC using Prime95 for the CPU side
  • Furmark for the GPU.
    • Before running Prime95 make sure to enable Round-off checking (see 1st post under the tutorial).
    Note   Note
It is not mandatory to run both tests simultaneously, although possible as long as the temperatures are under constant monitoring.

Well that's done.

Here are the screens you asked for, YoYo155. Thanks very much for the help with this, btw. It is appreciated.

Let me know what I should do next.

While I wait for further instruction, and because Boozad suggested it, I uninstalled AVG and installed MSE and Malwarebytes. Not sure if it will make a difference, but it's certainly worth a shot.

Just wanted to update the thread.
