Toshiba laptop freezing when in idle and often get the BSOD

Hi I have a toshiba satellite s305-s5921 that originally came with vista. I have upgraded to windows 7 and have had the freezing in idle and the bsod errors happen many times. I have tried clean boot..[how do I know which services and system tools are working or conflicting in Win7?] and several other options that should have worked. But often times when I leave the laptop for up to 15 minutes I must hard reset due to a black screen or a bsod error message. I have followed your instructions with the SF diagnostics Tool and now i will upload my info i guess in hopes someone will help. i dont have a screen shot because i haven't had the problem today and I just found this forum today!!

There aren't any .dmp files in your zip file.

Follow this tutorial to enable .dmp file creation, then when you get another BSOD re-run the SF Diagnostics Tool and upload the new zip file:

In addition to Golden's instructions and seeing this machine might have a bit of age on it can you run Speccy and show us the temps. Speccy - Download

Just how long has this been going on - since the upgrade? (I have to say personally I am not a fan of upgrades) and plus is all the hardware as original?

Run this Speccy - Download and post back either a snip pic or just the temps to snip see this
How to Use the Snipping Tool in Vista

Really going back to Vista is a retrograde thing to do - I would be very tempted to wipe that drive get an OEM and install it fresh or you can buy a key and use this
Clean Reinstall - Factory OEM Windows 7
I think I mentioned I have never been a fan of upgrades and the ones from Vista to 7 seem to be the ones that give trouble. But the choice is yours of course

Now I don't know what sort of program it is running QueenOrr because it is showing the temps on my machine running. It would be better if you could try the snip method.

The little bit I did see of your read out the CPU is running a hotter than I would like - not that it is critical because the core will not cut out until it reaches 100C according to Intel. But by the time it reaches that sort of temp then it will have caused some damage along the way.

I think you need to do what Golden has asked anyway so they can be analysed. It could be a multitude of things and those dump files will show up errors in the system as specific issues.

Hello, I've sent this computer to a repair center and after diagnostics (if thats what he calls it) he said my crashes were due to my RAM. He wanted to charge me $120 to install new RAM. Instead I had him send it back and since I am computer savvy enough I installed new RAM myself. However, this...
