Got systemrescue on a bootable USB that can do this.
What you have done for salvaging the user data is OK. There are other ways too, but your plan is good enough. The basic job is equally done in all the methods. If you want to know, most of us in this forum prefer to do it using windows recovery console.

I appreciate you for a good job well done!

You mean the other HDD?
That is all possible, because that has an active primary partition too. The bootloader may have got installed in that active partition.

That is only why we prefer to disconnect the other (data) discs during windows installation and/or startup repair.

How it is working now?
Well I fixed the MBR. But the HDD partition still says it's corrupted. So I can't salvage anything from it ATM. I tried the live Linux thing, but it can't get anything from it.

Chkdsk and all hasn't fixed it. I have no idea why it'd be corrupted.... I seriously hope it isn't.
It's unreadable too. So am I SOL?

Edit: minitool aligning all partitions found the old ones. For some reason there's 800gb un allocated with a 100mb partition plus global files one. Can't apply as it wants me to check filesystem before doing this. Can't check filesystem but I'm doing stuff that might fix it. Will let you know how it goes. It's possible windows fiddled with it during the installation. Or some how my /fixmbr did it...

Edit 2: Well it can't be recovered. Guess this is a lesson to have no single point of failure.

I think you may want to test the health of the HDD (only HDD, not the SSD).

Indeed. A good idea.
Yes, it's booting fine.
4TB HDD ordered. Along with a new SSD, just in case.

Luckily, I did have a few older backups of most important things, on an old ribbon cable HDD.

Windows is installed, and working flawlessly.

Thanks for all the help. Consider this resolved - reformat.
