I know it's been a few days, but the crashes are still happening. It went for a while without any, but I think that was just luck. I have tried not having the headset plugged in, I've uninstalled the logitech driver, and both of those didn't really work. I have also tried unplugging my hdd and just leaving my ssd that i boot from connected and that did nothing. Now my blue screens give me the messagage "KMODE_EXCEPTION_NOT_HANDLED". I'm getting really discouraged with this. Is there anything else you think I can try?

Also, I don't know if this is relevent. In my Device Manager something comes up under "other devices". A "PCI Simple Communications Controller".

Can you send a shot of the Device Manager and the audio driver is from the Asus site because as usual the RealTek one is a ruddy nightmare.

PS What about a different bran headphones or a sound card?? The Asus Xonar DG is brilliant and not expensive.
http://www.asus.com/au/Sound_Cards_a...ters/Xonar_DG/ I always do because the onboard audio is usually crap anyway.

After following the advice previously given by 7F members, please run though this tutorial.
Windows Update Posting Instructions
Don't let the name Windows update concern you, the two utilities (SFC and SURT) check more than just Windows Update. Follow the instructions and a member will look at the output you post.

ICit2lol, I attached a screenshot of my device manager.

Bill, I installed the SURT and it installed fine with no errors or anything. And I ran the other scan and it also came back with nothing.

BSOD System_Service_Exception - 3 times in a week - no new hardware
Hi guys, Suddenly seemed to start getting lots of system_service_exception BSODs in the last month or so. Not had them before, only the occasional Driver_Power_state_failure which seemed to calm down once I updated some drivers. I've not added any new hardware or software recently. I thought...
