Resume from Sleep or Hibernate Locks Event 41
I have a customer's machine in my possesion. He is running Win 7 Home premium on a recently upgraded Toshiba L355-S7825 Laptop.
The machine runs very well, until it is brought our of sleep. After about 40-60 seconds it will freeze completely. Forcing a cold boot after which it will run fine again, until sleep is invoked again. This is repeatable 100% of the time.
Event logs show Event ID 41: Kernel Power Critical error. I have updated Bios, and drivers from Toshiba's web site. All to no avail.
I have search this site somewhat at length, many google queries have landed me here in my research to determine what could be causing this. Most of the results I have seen involve some type of driver conflict with the sleep suspend/wake features. My customer has told me do not put Vista back on the machine.
It would be nice to solve this one however I am stumped at this point.
This machine was running Vista Home Basic, and never had this problem before. I can log in from the laptop and provide the minidump if someone thinks that it might help.
