BSOD 1000007e playing Borderlands: TPS on new system

    Hi!

I recently built a new system, and I have been getting a couple of BSODs. It does not happen frequently, but today it did happen twice while playing Borderlands: the pre sequel today. I was playing the game for ~8hours yesterday, didn't have any issues. It was a bit of a weird BSOD, as I got disconnected from the game I was hosting with a friend right before the computer crashed. So I'm suspecting my WLAN drivers or something, but I don't know how to decipher the BSOD messages, and my google-fu did not yield me anything useful.

Hope someone can help me with this, and in the meanwhile I'll be updating my WLAN driver to see if that solves it. Thanks!

Does anyone know what could cause this?

IMHO nobody can say that yes, I know it with certainty. But if you want, I may try to get some ideas as reported in the DM log output.

Try to update the driver to your NETGEAR WNA1100 Wireless-N 150 USB Adapter. Though the available update is not a very up-to date driver, but try it. Get it from both of the sources I am bescribing below, see which one is the latest among these two, apply that one.

    Let us know the result.

    SYSTEM_THREAD_EXCEPTION_NOT_HANDLED_M (1000007e)
This is a very common bugcheck. Usually the exception address pinpoints
the driver/function that caused the problem. Always note this address
as well as the link date of the driver/image that contains this address.
Some common problems are exception code 0x80000003. This means a hard
coded breakpoint or assertion was hit, but this system was booted
/NODEBUG. This is not supposed to happen as developers should never have
hardcoded breakpoints in retail code, but ...
If this happens, make sure a debugger gets connected, and the
system is booted /DEBUG. This will let us see why this breakpoint is
    happening.
    Arguments:
Arg1: ffffffffc0000005, The exception code that was not handled
Arg2: fffff88001e0e666, The address that the exception occurred at

    Hey!

    Thanks for the response!

I did download and install the driver I found on netgear's site yesterday, and I haven't seen any more BSODs. So I suppose it may have fixed the problem - though I can't really be sure. Did not have any more BSODs today at least, computer has been in use for ~4-5 hours today, mostly gaming (Borderlands).

I'll post and update whether I get more BSOD's or not =)

Well, so far so good. Computer seems to be working just fine, though I did have some weird disconnects from borderlands when I was playing with a friend. I've played a number of League of Legends matches without any issues though, so I suppose that may just be a bug on Borderlands. Will probably get a new wireless adapter eventually.

    Thanks for the help guys!
