Bluescreen Error STOP: 0x0000007B on startup

Error -STOP: 0x0000007B upon startup of ASUS Q550LF laptop. Unable to boot--keep getting error. Have tried Startup Repair with Windows 7 bootable flash drive-which did not fix problem.

I had this hard drive in a Lenovo working just fine, so I got some software and uninstalled most of the drivers since I was moving THAT hard drive (with operating system on it) over to an ASUS Q550LF laptop. I did not want Lenovo drivers on the ASUS. So I installed the hard drive in the Asus and it started up a few times and then I started getting the error. Any idea how to fix the issue?

Stop ox7B is INACCESSIBLE_BOOT_DEVICE. That means the system cannot get access to the disc to boot from. The usual causes are

    • The Hard drive itself
    • Improper boot sequence
    • Boot virus, bootkit.
What you need to do are ....
► Test the HDD using Seatools for DOS.

► Scan the system for possible virus infection with Windows Defender Offline

► Do you have access to another computer right now? If so, download Partition wizard Bootable CD (the last one in the link). Burn it in a blank CD or in a USB flash stick.

Boot into Partition Wizards GUI following this instructions. When you are on the last screen, take a camera snap of the screen and upload the snap here.

We need to see the partitions and parameters.

** If you dont want to take all those hassles, you may opt for a Clean Renstall.
