Computer Black Screen of Death after Welcome - Services

Hi, I am trying to help my friend fix his Windows 7 Computer. It started when it randomly decided to switch off whilst he was internet browsing. When he turned it back on, it turned on normally and he has it to auto login to desktop and it shows 'Welcome' then goes to a black screen with the windows cursor, known as the black screen of death. We have tried start up repair, SFC Scan and a malwarebytes scan. We also have uninstalled the nvidia display driver as thats what a quick internet search told me. I have also been looking through his Event Viewer and it seems a lot of services are failing, but a lot of them are still on automatic start. Notably: Lots of services are timing out after 30000ms, Computer Browser service won't start, nor will server service although in safe mode the dependicies are started. The fact that computer browser doesn't start repeats it self many times in the event viewer. Also this: --The following boot-start or system-start driver(s) failed to load:
discache
MpFilter
SCDEmu
spldr
Wanarpv6

I have run out of ideas to try so I am posting here, I am unsure if this is the right area, so move if necessarcy.

Thanks.

I have the same kind of problem and posted it a week ago, but so far no one has a solution for it.

I get the idea that it is a virus because at once many people got this problem, as it was in 2011 to.

I would try to boot from a live Linux DVD. If it works then the OS is the fault i think. And the thing you saw in Event Viewer did you see any video issues?
Note: It is actually called Black Screen of Limbo. (BSOL)

It is for sure an OS problem, because i can start with many rescue live DVD's and there is no problem that the laptop doesnt work well. I cant start an event viewer. With the repair tools i can only get a command prompt running, and that is it.

I did that to, but after 3 days the black screen with mouse pointer was back.
And that was a clean instalation without internet connection and without updating.

I broke my brains about this one.

Try to run sfc.exe /scannow if it has found any errors then i hope it works. If not run a chkdsk /r.
Thats all i can recommend.
If you can boot into safemode do the commands there. If not insert your Windows install disc. Goto repair your computer. Your harddisk with Win7 on and a command prompt.

Cheers,
Laith

[solved]

I did that to, but it didnt worked eather.

Now i did found a solution my self.

The problem was that rpcss.dll was removed by the virus scanner.

An week before there where rpcss.dll files circulating which where infected what placed the file on the virus list.

Because of the removal of that file, windows makes changes that you need to solve then to.
What you need to do, is to dissable your virus scanner, then place the file back in the system32 directory from the origional windows disk from the right install directory, start in safe mode, do an sfc /scannow in repair system with command prompt, then restart windows normal and do an virus scan and exclude the file rpcss.dll from the virus list.
