    Driver Power State Failure BSOD

Hello forum. My wife has a Dell Inspiron 15r 5010. Win 7 Home Premium x64. Yesterday she had a BSOD. I have followed your posting guidelines and hope that I have everything attached that you will need. She will go nuts if she isnt able to play her games lol Thank you in advance for your time and suggestions.

One of the most clear cut crash dumps I have ever seen.
    Code:
    FAULTING_MODULE: fffff8800aacc000 tap0901
It is used by two things. Comodo, and some VPN clients.

If you have (a glance at your system says that you have) such programs installed, uninstall them and see how it goes.

    Let us know the result.

Thank you for your reply archie. I do have both items. Comodo dragon browser, and a licensed version of CyberGhost VPN. Comodo products I can live without, but CyberGhost is a bit more difficult. Is there anything I can do to make my wifes computer more stable and leave CyberGhost in? (change drivers, turn on or off certain services? etc)

VPNs are sometimes problematic. Not for every computers, but some of them cannot take a VPN installed. I dont know why.

The best that you can do is to install the latest version of the VPN again and observe how it goes. If it still BSODs, that is a bad luck.

Thank you again for you research and time. People like you and brink and everyone else that contributes here make this family of forums the best on the net.
I have removed all comodo products from the laptop, I have made sure that CyberGhost is the latest version and all drivers are up to date. Now I will just have to wait and see. Thank you again

Wait and observe. I want to hope that there will not be any more BSOD, but if it occurs, report us.
