Crashing with either a freeze or a BSOD playing Shadows of Mordor

Hi SevenForums

I've written a post ind here a while ago because of BSOD's while playing Diablo 3.

I tried everything during that communication.

They started happening again while playing Shadow of Mordor. Since then i also bought a second monitor and bought new RAM.

I just reinstalled Windows 7 Home Premium x64 on freshly formatted harddrives and once i started playing Shadow of Mordor again, crash! I've played alot of CS:GO and it runs smoothly.

I'm getting really frustrated and tired of this and i'm beginning to think the last resort is to buy a new motherboard, cpu and GPU, since i cant narrow it down to a definitive problem since i've just gotten new RAM.

Can you help me? I've added the SF file.

There are no dumps. That's what we use mostly tp decode. I'll look some moer. Have you made sure to run all the important and recommended Windows Updates. except the graphics driver one? Also, have you been throukd the steps we went through before?

I've been through every one of them.

Hmm no dump files? Strange, i'll upload a new file if/when it happens again.

I've just borrowed a gtx 560ti for troubleshooting if its the gpu that makes the error.

If it crtashes, and you have uninstalled all the older drivers and installed the new ones, I would say it is the PSU or the board. This will give you the cleanest uninstall and install.

So i tested it again with the borrowed card, playing a few games of cs:go and then SoM afterwards. I could play in about 10-15 minutes then it BSOD'ed on me again. I've set my setting ingame via the Geforce Experience app from Nvidia.
Guess it's not the GPU then.

I've uploaded the SF file.

I have a i5 3550, 8 GB G-Skill Ram, GTX 560, and on my unit it plays very well with no errors/problems.

The Processor driver from Windows Update. Weren't you getting that same code before? Are you keeping check of your CPU and GPU temps?

Do you want me do do anything about that driver?

I cant remember if the 0x0000009c error was among the errors last time, but it is the same scenario over again.
With my normal videocard (Msi gtx 760 twin frozr 4gb) my temps are fine, both while idle and gaming.
I haven't noticed anything unusual about my cpu temps. I have a Corsair H100i on my cpu in push/pul config.
Thou the card i borrowed maxed out at 78 degrees celcius while playing last night, but then again that was a peak and kept a stable temp between 70-75 depending on the events in game.

I'm using CPUID HWmonitor for my measurements btw.

Try downloading and running this Intel Processor diagnostic test. I don't believe it is the CPU but this will test it and find out for sure. Processors — What is the Intel® Processor Diagnostic Tool?

CPU passed the test. Is there a way of testing if it's the psu thats the problem? And the motherbord?
