BSOD especially during Games

Hi everyone

In the recent past, I had some bluescreens, especially during gaming. The reason why I'm looking for help here: I think the frequency of BSODs is increasing.

My system:
Win7 pro x64, ASUS P8P67, i5 2500K, Corsair 12GB DDR3 RAM, GF GTX660Ti, OCZ Agility3 SSD HDD for System, Seagate HDD for Files/Games etc.

I play Games via Steam or EA Origin, I encountered Bscreens using either Steam or Origin and I use GF Experience to keep my graphix/physiX/audio drivers up to date.

Need more info? Just let me know

Thanks guys!

Thx for the answer.
I run my OS on that SSD and need to change (apparently) from SCSI to AHCI mode? Is that without problems (changing the registry key that it will boot in AHCI mode) or do I have to take precautions? I can find mixed feedback in the interwebs, some say you shouldnt update the SSD if the OS is running on it?!

Your SCSI controller (Marvell) is not a very good controller. Rather your AHCI controller (Intel) is still better. But still you need interchange it right now.

And there should not be any problem to update the SSD firmware as the toolbox runs from within windows.

Still, if you are worried, you may back up any necessary data to another place including cloud.

So did you set the ACHI before you installed?
