BSOD playing Sins of Rebellion or Endless Space

    Hello,

I am getting the good old BSOD when trying to play Sins of Rebellion or Endless Space at the start-up of the game. Skyrim, and other heavy graphic games seem to load and don't crash. Any help would be appreciated. Hope everyone has a good Turkey day.

Hello Jake99r. I will try to help you if I can. The files you submitted were incomplete and there were no dump files which is what we use to determine your problem. Please make sure your computer is configured for Small Memory Dumps, Dump Files - Configure Windows to Create on BSOD and also make sure you have a folder in C:/Windows named Minidump. If there is not one there create one named Minidump.

Please open an elevated command prompt ( click start, type cmd in the search box, right click on the cmd entry and select run as administrator) in the black box that opens, copy/paste sfc /scannow. If you decide to type it, notice the space between the sfc and the /. It is a system file checker which will scan your system files and attempt to correct any missing or corrupt files. What we want are the results to say windows found no integrity violations. If it says files were found but could not be repaired, close the box, reboot and run it again, after opening the administrative command prompt. You may have to reboot and run it three times for it to repair all system files. If it can't repair them after 3 reboots, let us know.

Re run the BSOD posting instructions again, Blue Screen of Death (BSOD) Posting Instructions Please select option 2 this time and press the 'Grab All' button then give it time to do it's work. Upload the file with your next post.

    essenbe,

First off I appreciate you just taking the time. I ran the sfc /scannow and everything was ok. I even ran checkdsk /f. For some unknown reason I am unable to get a dump file. I followed the instructions on option 1. Rebooted and got the crash after trying to run Sins of Rebellion. I then did the option 2 and imported the registry settings and have the same result. No dump file. Any thoughts?
