BSOD 0x0000007A - Older home build computer.

So this is getting to the point where if I leave my computer on all night (and most nights I do) I am not surprised anymore waking up to a blue screen. I really haven't changed anything on the computer for a while now. Now it's just getting out of control. Makes it hard to run the media server off of my computer if it keeps crashing.

If you guys could help shine some lights on this that would be great. My bet goes out to an hardware issue. I've tried running memtest but must have done something wrong as I let it sit over night but it didn't do anything.

Hope this is all the info y'alls need.

Thank you.

Hi Chucky. (Ahaa, I like it, reminds me of the Child's Play movies. :P)

Your latest (27th) crash dump appears to blame the crash on your hard disk hardware:
Code:
ERROR_CODE: (NTSTATUS) 0xc0000185 - The I/O device reported an I/O error.

DISK_HARDWARE_ERROR: There was error with disk hardware
An almost "dead" hard disk or a hard disk that is failing would likely cause an I/O device error, however your dump also mentions memory corruption. This could mean (could) that both your hard disk and memory are to blame, but may not be significantly caused by memory. I'd recommend that you take your memory into consideration that it may also be defective and I'd recommend you trying to swap both memory and hard disk. I'm sure you know that purchasing hard disks second-hand is never a good idea as if they're "resold" you don't know what it's history is. For example, past failures etc.

I'd suggest that you backup your data (or clone your hard disk IF you can) and purchase a new hard disk and if possible some new sticks of RAM too.

KERNEL_DATA_INPAGE_ERROR (7a)
The requested page of kernel data could not be read in. Typically caused by
a bad block in the paging file or disk controller error. Also see
KERNEL_STACK_INPAGE_ERROR.
If the error status is 0xC000000E, 0xC000009C, 0xC000009D or 0xC0000185,
it means the disk subsystem has experienced a failure.
If the error status is 0xC000009A, then it means the request failed because
a filesystem failed to make forward progress.
Arguments:
Arg1: fffff6fc400087f8, lock type that was held (value 1,2,3, or PTE address)
Arg2: ffffffffc0000185, error status (normally i/o status code)
Arg3: 0000000049c98860, current process (virtual address for lock type 3, or PTE)
Arg4: fffff880010ff93c, virtual address that could not be in-paged (or PTE contents if arg1 is a PTE address)

I'd advise looking for updates for most of your drivers, particularly the two marked in red, however there are also a lot of drivers dated back to 2009 and 2010 which should be looked into.

I do have a new hard drive sitting on my desk. My SDD, RAM, and most of the other parts are from March of 2011. Maybe I'll see a good deal on a new SDD / RAM this weekend.

If you're still within SSD warranty you could get an RMA from the SSD's manufacturer. It's worth a try.

I was just outside the 3 year warranty on the SSD, however, the RAM has a lifetime warranty so if something comes up I'll look into that.

I replaced the SSD and with that a clean copy of Win7. So far everything is going good.

Old drive: Corsair Performance 3 Series 128GB
New drive: Samsung 840 EVO 120GB

Thank you for y'alls help.
