    Interpreting "controller error"


    Windows 7 Home Premium Computer Management (Windows logs/System) reporting periodic disk error: "The driver detected a controller error on \Device\Harddisk6\DR11," as well as on "\Device\Harddisk6\DR10," "\Device\Harddisk6\DR9," and \Device\Harddisk6\DR8."

    The system only has two hard drives.

    Anyone have an idea of what this error could be and how to fix it?

    Update controller driver if at all possible. Update bios for mainboard if possible.
