BSOD on sleep/hibernate Stop: 0x0000009F

Hello, I have been starting to receive BSODs occasionally when I put my laptop into sleep mode, hibernation, or when my computer wakes up from sleep to transition into hibernation mode. They only happen once every few days, but when they do, it is often without my knowledge, leaving the laptop to become very very hot in my bag from running with a BSOD until its battery dies.

I am not sure what is causing this, but I have attached both of the proper diagnostic zip files. The stop code it usually gives my is 0x0000009F with the message DRIVER_POWER_STATE_FAILURE. I have tried updating all of my drivers for my computer--paying especial attention to the ones involving power state--and have found that they were all already up to date as far as I could see.

My Laptop is a Lenovo Y580 with an Intel i7-3630QM running Windows 7 Home Premium x64 with 8 GB of DDR3 RAM and a 1 TB 5400 RPM HDD.

Any advice would be very much appreciated. Thank you.

You have Kaspersky Internet Security 14.0.0.4651
KIS/KAV has been known to cause 0x9F BSOD on certain wifi cards, primarily Intel Wifi.

I'd recommend uninstalling KIS and reinstalling the latest version from their website, I believe is KIS 15.0.1.415

The actual BSOD log reports that vmnetadapter.sys, VMware Virtual Ethernet Adapter Driver, was the cause; however I still believe that it could be a bug in KIS/KAV NDIS filter being evil and crashing VMware's virtual driver.

Okay, I have removed Kaspersky Internet Security completely and replaced it with Avast--this is only temporary until I decide on another paid AV product. The Kaspersky license was up anyway and I was meaning to switch to something else.

I will continue normal operations on my laptop as per usual and see if I get any more BSODs when putting the machine to sleep or hibernate. Thank you very much for your suggestions, I will report back if all is well or if there is still a problem.

Well, I have not had a single BSOD since implementing your suggestion over a week ago. Removing kaspersky AV and replacing it seems to have solved the problem. I have no more sleep or hibernate lags which usually resulted in a BSOD. They used to happen almost every other day, now it's been over a week. Thank you for your advice.
