Random BSOD in 15 mins when afk

    Hi,

I just built this computer; it is my first build. I get the BSOD in about 10-15 mins of being afk and not using it at all. I get the codes OS Version: 6.1.7601.2.1.0.768.3 Locale ID: 1033 in an error message after the computer restarts and I log on. I have uploaded the zip file with this email. Can anyone help me figure out what is wrong? I have the current chipset and video card drivers.

    Thanks,
      My Computer

A "stop 0x124" is fundamentally different to many other types of bluescreens because it stems from a hardware complaint. Stop 0x124 minidumps contain very little practical information, and it is therefore necessary to approach the problem as a case of hardware in an unknown state of distress. Soooooo I tried doing a quick virus scan with Norton. About 5 seconds after executing the scan I got the same BSOD and 1033 ID upon reboot, *Facepalm* lol. I have now uninstalled Norton and installed Malwarebytes, which I have never had any problems with. I think this may have solved my problems as I left my computer running for about 15 mins without interaction and it did not BSOD on me. I will be leaving it running tomorrow throughout the day to see if this was the root cause, which I think it was.

Comp. has been running perfectly all day; no problems. Norton was the problem.
