    Seemingly Random BSOD, BCCode 124

My previous post seems to have disappeared, so I'm creating another one. I've had BSOD's since I built my new PC in May. They happen at random times. Sometimes while watching movies, sometimes while playing games, sometimes I'll turn on the monitor in the morning and it will have a window showing the message below. I've updated my BIOS, re-installed Windows, ran memcheck (4 passes on each stick, plus 4 passes with both in), and checked my drives, but so far haven't found any concrete cause for the issues. I'm hoping something in the dump files will help narrow down my search a little bit. There's a lot of them. FYI, nothing is overclocked. I'm hoping to find the culprit before my hardware warranty's start running out.

You'll need to run some stress tests.

I attached screenshots of the test results. Everything passed as far as I can tell. Seatools wouldn't actually open, it crashed on the scanning screen. I have checked the drives for errors multiple times and never found any issues. There was one issue during the Memtest, but I have since tried to reproduce the error using the same configuration and I can't get it to fail. I've done 3 more tests with 8 or 9 successful passes and no errors. I also attached another set of dumps. I figured out that I can make it blue-screen by playing a PC game for about an hour. It crashes almost every time. Let me know if any more info is needed or I need to run any more tests.

The MemTest86+ result is worrying - it never reports an incorrect result. Are you overclocking any components?

Please re-run 8 consecutive passe using V5.01 of MemTest86+ not V4.20 please. Lets see if we can replicate the problem.

Alright, I finally got a chance to run more memory tests using a newer version. Everything passed with 14 to 16 passes. I ran each stick separate and then ran one test with both sticks in, all passed. I also tried running the PC with just once stick at a time to see if maybe the BSOD's only happened with one stick or the other, but it happened with each stick in. I would blame the slot, but the mem-tests were run with the sticks in that same slot. Adding to the mystery, the BSOD's have stopped for the last 2 weeks (since I put both sticks back in). It has does this before though... short periods without any crashes, followed by multiple BSOD's per week.

Mmm. OK, lets try this to check drivers stability:

    Please do the following:

Run Driver Verifier for 24 hours or the occurrence of the next crash, whichever is earlier.
Driver Verifier - Enable and Disable

Driver Verifier will cause your computer to run very sluggishly - this is normal. What it is trying to do is force your system to BSOD and isolate the offending driver/s. When it does, reboot, disable driver verifier, reboot as normal and upload the new dmp file/s here.

I recommend creating a system restore point before turning on driver verifier:
    System Restore Point - Create

If your system fails to boot to desktop once driver verifier is enabled, turn it off by booting into Safe Mode:
    Safe Mode
