Recently purchased Lenovo W540 workstation. Tested it after arrival for a couple days, didn't experience any problems. After reinstalling Windows 7 I've been experiencing varying BSOD. They have occurred while playing Skyrim, though this is the only GPU intensive task I've done on the machine.

NVIDIA Drivers - Avoid Problems
Monitor and advise us the situation.
Uninstalled the driver as per the linked instructions.
Oddly, upon rebooting windows attempted to reinstall the drivers automatically. I couldn't run the Nvidia driver installation while was happening, so I just had to wait for it to finish installing drivers. Otherwise did the same. Nvidia WMI was also listed in the Nvidia installation not shown in the example image (probably due to being a Quadro) which I installed.
Tested for a bit and eventually experienced another BSOD.
Uninstalled again and installed using the installer from Lenovo's website. Tested for a bit, and it eventually became unstable (audio/video locking up momentarily). previously this was almost always immediately followed by a BSOD, but instead happened intermittently for about a minute and then Skyrim.exe crashed. System was stable afterwords. Will see if this repeats after work.

I hadn't had any BSOD for a couple weeks, so I thought this was likely solved given the previous advice, but today I have had two BSOD, one while playing and a second with just Chrome and a few tabs open (this has not happened before, so it's possible that it's a completely different issue, but I don't know).

Not sure if relevant, but the first time I ran the DM log collector utility, it returned an empty .zip file.

When running the automated updater tool, it had initially failed to download the driver for the network card. As such, I manually installed a newer driver, but still ran into BSOD. Tried the automated tool again and the download worked, so I replaced the driver using the tool, with another BSOD happening today.
