    BSOD while connected to my customer's VPN.


    While connected to my customer's VPN this morning, I received a BSOD several times.

    I was using Microsoft Outlook 2013, Internet Explorer 11, Google Chrome, and Oracle SQL Developer at the time of the error.

    Could you please help me determine the cause and a resolution to this issue?

    The cause is Norton 360.
    Code:

    Probably caused by : NETIO.SYS ( NETIO!WfpExpireEntryLru+17 )

    The resolution is .... well, Uninstall Norton and all Symentec products using Norton Removal tool. Use Microsoft Security Essentials as your antivirus with windows inbuilt firewall, and free MBAM as the on demand scanner.

    Also, Free up the startup. Windows does not need any other program to auto start with it, but the auto start programs often conflicts and causes various problems including BSODs.

    1. Click on the Start button
    2. Type “msconfig (without quotes), click the resulting link. It will open the System Configuration window.
    3. Select the “Startup” tab.
    4. Deselect all items other than the antivirus and the touchpad driver SynTPEnh.
    5. Apply > OK
    6. Accept then restarts.

    IMHO there are other things that also may/might contribute to any further BSOD. So observe how it goes. Let us know for any further BSOD.
