BSOD playing Skyrim, booted PC again and got GRUB error

I was playing Skyrim when the game froze. I got a BSOD and turned off the computer manually. When I rebooted the computer, all I got was a black screen which said GRUB on the top left. I rebooted twice more and only got GRUB GRUB_ in white text on the top left. I have no idea what to do. I'll give any requested, necessary additional information. I'll deeply appreciate your help.

I don't know if it shows, but I really am not too experienced with this stuff.

Hello and welcome nahtan mate first some system specs would be appreciated unless we know what we are dealing with it is very hard to help.
System Info - See Your System Specs

Now going out on a limb GRUB to me means something to do with Linux based systems so are you using a dual boot machine ie 7 & Linux Mint?? Suggest you watch this it might help but specs are most important and what OS's you are running.
Mean while watch this it might help https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jc_y7OYzXtQ

Okay, sorry, I was in a rush last night. I just opened my computer and identified every part I could. Hope this helps! Thank you!

Also, I believe you're right. But, though it's not much help, a friend got the OS onto my computer. I'm sorry if I'm looking in the wrong forum.

I watched the video, but it's not a GRUB rescue. I can't type anything into this screen. Would you like a picture?

Ok a pic would be helpful and thank for the specs too if you want really detailed info on components ever use this HWiNFO, HWiNFO32/64 - Download just make sure you pick the right bit version see pic on how it looks.
Now as for the GRUB it is a real mystery to me at least because as I said it is usually associated with Linux systems / distros maybe just maybe your machine has been infected with something and I am wondering if a run with this might help.
Download Kaspersky Rescue Disk 10 see this for how it is done you can use either a stick or disk I prefer disk but it is up to you the only difference is that you have to set first boot choice in the BIOS to what you are going to use then insert the stick or disk and go Exit > Save changes > yes > Enter and it will boot from that device. Now when it does boot it gives you a few seconds to hit any key to start the scan which does not involve Windows in any way.
So once you have saved the scanner to whatever you are going to use do what I said but have a look at this it is more graphic
How to record Kaspersky Rescue Disk 10 to a USB device and boot a computer from it

Oh, my wonderful friend came by and fixed the problem for me. I believe it was the same solution as you posted here-- either way, so sorry for the eventual inconvenience, but THANK YOU for helping me out! I really appreciate it.You at least steered me in the right direction to fix it.

He just plugged in the USB with the original OS on it, or something. I'll ask him for specifics and get back to this later.
