    BSOD f4 03 and 7a; seems random

    My computer is my first custom build that I made a year ago. The first six months I had it a wire was blocking the cpu fan causing it to overheat. Because of that I had bad performance and I didn't use it much. I got fixed. It had occasionally had problems, but I would change something and it would seemed fixed. The only one I remember was recent when norton 360 had a symerr error which i think I fixed (hasn't come up as far as I know). A few days ago it started bsoding a lot. I would change something and wait to see if it worked, but they just keep getting more frequent. It can happen while I am playing a game, when on chrome, and when it starts up(after windows loads, login screen and when loading start up programs). The only things I can remember installing are some skyrim mods, one finger death punch, and firefox. I have had problems before installing them though. I have been using my computer more recently(parents divorced, at the house with it more). I have looked up things to do, but they don't seem to work. I know that it might be the hard drive that is broken, but I would prefer to not buy a new one without knowing.I went into safe mode and I believe it crashed. I was checking and norton was doing a full system scan. When I returned it was on the login screen and immediately shut down after I entered my password. Sometimes it closes everything and I can only see my background screen, i wait a few seconds then shut off the computer(I don't see a bsod). That is all I can think of atm. Thx for the help. If I am missing anything or you need more details please tell me.

    Test your HDD with Data Lifeguard Diagnostic for Windows. Take both the short test and the extended test. Let us know the results.

    Pass on both and I put the wrong cpu down in system specs. I changed it to the correct one.

    To the part where everything closes and no bsod screen. It just happened and the error box that pop up said some type of error with a lot of numbers then another number that had a bunch of zeros with x0 being the last part of that. The back ground is the only thing that is still up. Everything else closes including explorer.exe.

    If it happens again, let us see a camera snap of the window.

    Also, execute the DM log collecter for one more time and upload the resulting zip.

    Very strange! You sure?

    All the crash dumps are steadily pointing to failing disc.

    Stop 0xF4 is disc issue.
    Code:
    BugCheck F4, {3, fffffa80099cf580, fffffa80099cf860, fffff800031d9500}

    ----- ETW minidump data unavailable-----
    Probably caused by : csrss.exe

    Followup: MachineOwner
    ---------
    Stop 0x7E, pointing to disc error .

    Stop 0x7A ...
    Code:

    Probably caused by : ntkrnlmp.exe ( nt! ?? ::FNODOBFM::`string'+36c1a )

    Followup: MachineOwner
    ---------
    ERROR_CODE: (NTSTATUS) 0xc000000e - A device which does not exist was specified.

    DISK_HARDWARE_ERROR: There was error with disk hardware
    Do the tests again .... let us see screenshots saying that the tests passed.

    Its too strange that it is throwing so much HDD errors despite of those tests passes.

    Can you open the computer and make it sure that teh SATA cable is connected properly at both the ends? Also apply the SATA cable to an unused port on the motherboard. If possible, apply a new SATA cable.

    See how it goes. Let us know.
