Random BSOD with Bug check code 0x00000124
I have been experiencing random BSOD on my PC for several months. In an effort to resolve the issue, I have formatted the SSD and reinstalled Windows7 (home edition) with all the latest drivers. I ran Memtest86 (it took about 4 hours, and it showed 0 errors). I was still getting BSOD, so I formatted and reinstalled windows using only the driver set on the motherboard CD (system is 1.5 years old). With only anti-virus installed on the fresh Windows install, I still got BSOD. It seems that it crashes with old or new drivers.
Since then, I have updated most of the drivers, and also ran Checkdisc on the SSD and storage HD. Both tests passed error free. This weekend I removed and re-seated the video card, processor, and memory. I have 4 sticks of DDR Ram (4GB each), so I removed 2 of them for testing (running 8GB now). Since then, I got a BSOD again. I was unaware that mini-dump is 'off' by default, and only have one dump to post here. It has crashed a few times since this dump file was generated, but Windows has not generated another dump file, and I don't know why.
System specs:
Windows 7 home premium edition
Asus Sabertooth Z87 MoBo
Intel i-7 4770 processor
G.SKILL Ripjaws X Series DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1866 (16 GB total, 8GB currently installed)
SAMSUNG 840 Pro Series SSD - for O.S.
Western Digital Blue WD10EZEX 1TB HD - for programs and storage
EVGA GeForce GTX 770 2GB Video Card
TRENDnet TEW-684UB Dual Band Wireless Network Adapter -USB (no hard line near the PC)
Nothing is overclocked. I have updated the BIOS and ensured that it is running default settings. I monitor the temps, and the system never runs warm.
Several of the BSOD episodes occur right after boot up, before I even open a program.
Any recommendations would be greatly appreciated! :)
