BSOD Only When Left on Overnight (WHS2011 does backups overnight???)

Recently moved my PC to another room/network connection. Ever since, I wake in the morning to see a BSOD occurred overnight. I can let the machine sit all day and go to sleep with no issues. Only happens over night.

Upon restart, I also notice the WHS2011 Launchpad crashes when it starts. The event logs say Peer Naming Resolution Protocol has terminated. The backups to the server are completing just fine. Just the Launchpad fails.

I'm assuming there is a relationship between the BSOD's and my server backups. Any help is appreciated

Debug files are attached.

Brett

As you have McAfee installed, it did what it can. BSOD.
Code:
BugCheck 7F, {8, 80050031, 406f8, fffff800039c7ca1}

*** WARNING: Unable to verify timestamp for mfehidk.sys
*** ERROR: Module load completed but symbols could not be loaded for mfehidk.sys
Probably caused by : mfehidk.sys ( mfehidk+5cc35 )

Followup: MachineOwner
---------
What is the "mfehidk.sys" ?
No sane computer user will use it. Uninstall McAfee Using McAfee Removal Tool. Use Microsoft Security Essentials as your antivirus with windows inbuilt firewall, and free MBAM as the on demand scanner.

Also Free up the startup. Windows does not need any other program to auto start with it, but the auto start programs often conflicts and causes various problems including BSODs.
  1. Click on the Start button
  2. Type “msconfig (without quotes), click the resulting link. It will open the System Configuration window.
  3. Select the “Startup” tab.
  4. Deselect all items other than the antivirus.
  5. Apply > OK
  6. Accept then restart.
Let us know for any further BSOD.

Well I certainly wouldn't want to be considered insane. Thanks for the diagnosis. I've nixed McAfee in favor of MS Security Essentials and I'll see what happens.

If my words made you feel bad, my earnest apologies. You were not the target, but McAfee was.

Dont forget to free up the unnecessary (other than the antivirus and the touchpad for laptops, all are) startup items, too.

Let us know for any further BSOD.

No worries Arc. I understood the target of you comment. No BSOD overnight for the first time since I moved the PC so I think you were on point. I'll give it a couple of more nights then mark the thread as solved. Another satisfied customer.

I've also trimmed the fat in the startup items.

Again, thanks for the help
