nfamous, we're blind on this side of your monitor. Members have asked for output and haven't seen any. You report that things run fine or you report that you will do something.

Trouble shooting computer issues is hard enough when you have access to the machine and can hunt down the answers, but it's nearly impossible to trouble shoot from a distance when you have nothing to look at.

Your SevenForums specs for your machine is bare (Windows 7 Ultimate x64) and tells members nothing about the hardware or software. Sure you posted some information in post 1, but members don't need to search for your information, please put it in the system specs.

Arc and I have asked to see the output from the malware scanners - nada, except they ran fine. People don't always run the scanners correctly and the logs will bear that out. Did you run them as Administrator? Were the proper scan options set?

I'll ask once again before I give up on this thread. Please read the posts again and provide the logs for the malware scanners or any other information already requested.

Also please confirm that Norton was uninstalled.

Please follow this tutorial to provide the current operating environment of your machine.
Speccy - Publish Snapshot of your System Specs

    Thanks

I appologize my computer has been freezing alot. so i'll try to explain what i have.

as far as system specs what more is needed. its a 2.9ghz intel i7 920 cpu, downgraded from 960 that was 3.4ghz, thought that was the issue, ram is 8gb kingston, 1333 2x4gb sticks. 120gb kingston SSD. 512gb video card.

the only scan that ran succesffully was the anti-root tds-killer. didnt find anything if i'm correct. I was able to get the windows security essencials installed but have not been able to scan because it freezes. even the offline windows defender froze at 90% ish. ran it 4 times, twice froze right at the beginning the other at 90 and last bout half way through.

i had a smaller ssd prior, when it all started, backed up my important files on my 2tb slave, and installed my new 120gb, and it still doing it, freezing. though for some reason the install was giving me hickups. it never let me format the entire drive to 1 always created a small 90mb or so partition. tried removing it prior to installing windows but no luck. i'm whilling to try and reinstall again.

also the following updates refuse to install:
Framework 3.5.1, system update kb2978092, kb2893519, kb2719857, kb2846960, kb2852386. none want to install, ive tried individually and done the steps mentioned. and no success.

TDSSKiller complete, no threats found. Malware complete found some and eliminated em. going to try the windows defender now. after the tdsskiller i did the deeper one that required the restart btw. took me a few tries to restart as it kept freezing. and sometimes it freezes at the windows logo, or on the log on screen, and if i do manage to get it booted, it will just randomly freeze while i'm surfing the web.
