It happens sometimes that system can't start up after BSOD or after screen freeze. I've experienced that before, but could it be that all those BSOD are because of power supply?

I don't know if it will end up being your PSU, but that PSU is US $13. There is no way in the world you can buy a quality PSU for that price. A PSU is the heart of your computer and powers everything. One hiccup and the computer crashes, if it blows up it can take your computer with it. Never try to save money on a PSU. Buy a quality one like Corsair, XFX, or Seasonic. They are all top quality power supplies and will put out exactly what they claim and more. They also have built in safeguards that will keep it from overvolting your computer components in the event of failure.

Yes it can. Remember the PSU powers everything in your computer. One small fluctuation can crash your computer. If you have a friend with another one or somewhere you can borrow one I would give that a try and see.

OK, no problem, I understand. But, I wasn't saying the power supply is the cause of your BSODs I was only saying it could be and you need to get another one eventually. You should try to borrow one to test and see if this is the problem. Same as the other components, try one out first and see which component is bad before you buy anything.

The reason I asked about your power supply is because it could be causing some of your problem now and for sure it will cause problems later. As Steve has posted it could destroy your complete computer. I had that happen a long time ago to one of my computers.

I will try to test pc with another PSU and see if there's a difference. I'm thinking about getting new PSU around $50 like this one RX-500AF-B or this Cooler Master: Extreme Power Plus 500W any recommendations?
