    Black and Blue BSOD's

I recently had a second failure of a Gigabyte mATX board running on a custom build. Got a very new AsRock 970m which posts and runs Bios great. All hardware is recognized but my Upgrade Win7 disk or my OEM Vista disk do not boot up past the start screen. I had this issue about 2 years ago but for the life of me can't remember how I circumvented it.

I get multiple blue screen hardware errors, black screen hardware errors, windows loading file screens that freeze before the start screen, and sometimes a start screen that gets to the yellow and red ball before a freeze and/or blue screen black screen loop again. I chalk it up to some hardware or driver issue beyond my scope of experience.

Tried an ISO win 7 64 dvd just now and it froze as well at the starting windows screen first time and second time to blue screen error "Stop: 0x0000007F" with four more error codes in parenthesis.
