Uninstall BitDefender. At least as a test. Use Microsoft Security Essentials as your antivirus with windows inbuilt firewall, and free MBAM as the on demand scanner.

Report us for any further BSOD.

    Just some information.

I have noticed in the last week or so many are having problems when Bitdefender is being used.

    BitDefender is consistently problematic.

Well, it was BitDefender. Removed it, no crashes in the past week. Was getting them every other day. After seeing that it was BitDefender, I researched their support page, they are aware of this problem for windows 7 and have a "fix" to download. Well, my program is gone, so nothing to fix. Plus, if they knew of potential problems, should have made that part of the original download. Not taking them back, too many problems. Unfortunately, they don't do refunds after 30 days so looks like I am out a few bucks. Chalk it up to lesson learned. This forum is awesome. Thank you to Arc who helped me with this. I was about to commit computercide!!!
