Randomly occurring BSOD

Hi All, my friend has a laptop that has been getting BSOD rather frequently (a few every day). The laptop is a Sony VAIO (US-SVS131190X-LBOM) run Win 7 Home Premium with 4 GB RAM fixed onboard. I've asked him to run memtest, and it has come back clean (I'm really hoping this isn't a memory issue, especially if the RAM is soldered on). I've checked for driver updates, and that hasn't led me anywhere. Any suggestions on what to try next? Any and all help is appreciated!
Here's what WhoCrashed gave:

This was probably caused by the following module: ntoskrnl.exe (nt+0x74EC0)
Bugcheck code: 0xA (0x80, 0x2, 0x1, 0xFFFFF8000307FDFF)
Error: IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL
file path: C:\Windows\system32\ntoskrnl.exe
product: Microsoft® Windows® Operating System
company: Microsoft Corporation
description: NT Kernel & System
Bug check description: This indicates that Microsoft Windows or a kernel-mode driver accessed paged memory at DISPATCH_LEVEL or above.
This appears to be a typical software driver bug and is not likely to be caused by a hardware problem.
The crash took place in the Windows kernel. Possibly this problem is caused by another driver that cannot be identified at this time.

Hello and welcome to the seven forum. You have no mini dumps in your log without it there is not much they can do. An BSOD expert will take a look at your file to see if there is anything they can do to help.

Is there any other information I can provide? I want to try everything possible before resorting to wiping the HD clean and starting over. Any suggestions appreciated!

BSOD randomly occurring, BCcode 124
Hi I have BSOD randomly occurring, seems to be unrelated to the software running on the computer. I've read BCcode 124 is a bit of a tricky error to analyze. I do however hope you're able to help. I'm also having difficulties upgrading with the SP1 update (KB976932 error 0x80070490). I know this...

BSOD occurring seemingly randomly.
I can't think of any recent programs or updates I've downloaded that seem to be linked to this BSOD. As said in the subject it seems to be happening randomly. My laptop is normally very healthy, CPU runs very low, etc.

Randomly occurring BSOD, becoming more frequent
This computer's first BSOD was a few months ago, but they have been getting more frequent, along with random freezes. They usually come in succession, so I will get 2 to 3 BSODs in an hour and then none for a few days. Thanks. Windows 7 Profession 64 bit, full retail version Windows...

BSOD occurring randomly
Ran Memtest86+ but no errors were detected; I've also tried updating a few drivers but so far nothing's worked. Sometimes I get the BSOD; other times my computer just restarts randomly. I don't remember installing anything recently that could be the cause of this. I run Windows 7 Home Premium...
