BSOD playing any game, atikmpag.sys ,error 0x00000116

BOSD keep pop up after i start up any games for few minutes. I have tried to use DDU to re-install my graphics driver. However, it didnt work. The problem keep goes on.

I dont know how to fix my computer. Is my display card is broken or driver problems?

My laptop model is K43SA which is using ATI RADEON HD6730M 2GB Display Card.

Is the computer hot? Report us the heat of the computer after a couple of hours of your normal usage. Upload a screenshot of the summery tab of Speccy. Alternatively, you can publish a Speccy snapshot too: Speccy - Publish Snapshot of your System Specs .

Uninstall the installed display driver using DDU. Then install the CCC 14.4 WHQL only.

When done, stress test the Graphics Card using Furmark.Take a screenshot of the furmark window before closing it. Upload the screenshot for us. Also let us know if you have experienced any crash/BSOD and/or artifacts during the test.

Also let us know for any further BSOD after doing it.

After using DDU, i installed the driver you have mentioned. The install is success but the monitor become black after reboot, the screen turn black after starting windows. I am forced to install back the old version of my display driver. Is there are any other solution?

My laptop keeps BSOD when i open games for couple minutes, that is so frustrating.

Hello, michaelhaa. In looking at your Speccy report, if you are at idle, your CPU and GPU are much hotter than I would like. I really don't know your TJ Max, but I suspect it to be around 100°C. If, at idle you are running 58° I would suspect that gaming will come close to your TJ Max. Your GPU is only about 10° cooler.

I realize very well that laptops run hotter than Desktops, but if you just simply look at the max and current at idle, you do not have a lot of room to play with. Having said that, I would hope you will follow Arc's directions. The GPU needs to be checked out, as far as we can check it with tests. If you installed the driver properly, there is no reason you should get no graphics. Even with no driver, you should get graphics. You seem to have a problem somewhere in that area.

Remember, when you install Windows from scratch, you have no driver at all but you can see the monitor pretty well.
