Working fine now with the old card.
returned the ebay one, just hope i dont have the same problem with the next card i get proving its an issue with my system.
my wife bought it just before christmas for her sims games and i was hoping to do it up a bit....
while were here would you suggest i bother upgrading the processor or whould you recommend me just buying a new system?

It would really be worthy to buy a new system, if you can. With the technical advancements, the good things become obsolete gradually, and they dont work very good with new hardware or software.

Hi again,
Got a different graphics card and having the exact same problem so it seems to be a conflict in my pc somewhere and not the cards at fault.
BSOD soon after games start or during loading...
Would love to get this sorted.
New log posted if anyone has suggestions. thanks.

You got another GTX 460??
If that is a newly applied card for sure, Stress test the Graphics Card using Furmark.Take a screenshot of the furmark window before closing it. Upload the screenshot for us. Also let us know if you have experienced any crash/BSOD and/or artifacts during the test.
Check if the Power Supply Unit (PSU) supplying adequate power to the computer or not.
Also let us know the wattage of your installed PSU.

another 460 :)
cheap and cheerful as not worth spending more on this pc....
psu is 500w - thought that would be enough, is there a way to see how many watts are being used?
furmark failed again, crashed just under 10 minutes. monitors wouldnt come back on after startup (is that normal?).
speccy results:
(pc been on for a few hours other that the restarts if that counts).

Minimum PSU requirement for a GTX 460 is 450 Watts.
But as furmark failed, it confirms a bad card.
