Probably not but you haven't said what PUP was removed. If it's part of Adobe update, it may be the persistent module that keeps the update in startup.

Yeah, Prime95 can be a CPU killer but Intel has a feature that will throttle the CPU (turn it on and off) if it approaches maxT. It's still not good to overheat a CPU though.

The WEI score is pretty fast (2-3 minutes on a fast PC) and does a fairly good job of pressing the hardware and drivers. That's what it does to compute the score. And there's no software to load.

    Your choice.

The PUP was PUP.Optional.Conduit.A. It's a file, from C:\Users\Main account\AppData\Local\Google\Chrome\User Data\Default\Secure Preferences. I remember my younger sibling messing with my computer late last year and my entire windows changed. Every icon was an Adobe icon. I couldn't navigate anywhere. There was a conduit bar too somewhere. I was able to restore and scan multiple times and everything was fine until earlier this year.

I will skip Prime95 but will try the other two as well play the games I usually play.

Oh yeah, Conduit is a bad one. Good riddance to that. Keep an eye on that one too. It's usually a hard one to get rid of.

I was trying to play Domo and it froze before I could. No BSOD. When I rebooted my computer, wifi driver was missing again so I had no internet unless I plugged the Ethernet cable into. The only startup I had was two Adobe start ups: the update service and the flash player update service.

Open Device Manager and expand Network Adaptors. Does it show a yellow bang on the Wifi adaptor? Right click on the Wifi adaptor and select Scan for hardware changes. Does Windows attempt to load the driver?

Also, does Domo use an Internet connection?

I turned it on this morning and the wifi was working again. This is seriously mind-boggling. I checked for hardware changes and nothing came up.

    Yes, DOMO uses the internet.

Check to see if there's an update for DOMO. It may be that it has become incompatible with current system drivers. It happens.

Thanks for coming to help Carwiz and Gator.

It hurts my heart to see IOBit installed.

CluelessCompKid IOBit products destroys many computer systems. Hopefully you won't have to do a clean install, but many do after using programs from IOBits.
I'm thinking it's time for a Clean Install.
It's been many weeks and you are still having crazy problems.

There was an update, Carwiz. I have been using my laptop for two days and haven't had any issues so far. I only have one startup back. I didn't add the others yet.

Layback Bear, I want to do a clean install but my laptop came with Windows 8 and before I had it, Windows 7 was installed. I do not have a CD for windows 7 or 8 and I don't have a Microsoft Word CD either. I can't really afford at the moment to buy a CD so I can't do a clean install. I wanted to ask the computer shop that I went to if they are willing to do one for a discount since I'm still under warranty but I don't know how that will go.

So far, still no BSOD or freezing. But I didn't add back anymore startups because I felt like the Adobe one was the one giving me problems. Well, maybe. When I had that virus back in December, all my icons became Adobe icons. I couldn't use anything. Had to restore.
