Hi guys,

Sorry to just hop in the forums like that but I am pretty desperate here. Just built a new computer with Win 7 home premium 64bit. everything was working fine for a week plus until this BSoD with a 'bad pool header' message came up.

I had installed mathematica 6 because i wanted to run some work simulations at home...

i also tried installing mathematica 7 because i wanted to try the new parallel computing feature

from what ive read above it seems that these guys might be the culprit.

i had that same problem with firefox as well, whenever i tried to click on links i get the BSoD

im trying to delete the mathematica5 font but everytime i try to access that font folder i get the BSoD...

is there anything i can do? im an okay computer user but im totally stumpted on this occasion...

BSODs less frequent and maybe only in Firefox
I did think my BSODs were resolved some days ago, less frequent perhaps. I had a BSOD today, and a screen/mouse freeze & reboot (no BSOD) 2 days ago. Now I have noticed this only seems to happen in my usual (and for a long time) Firefox browser so I will run IE for a while. I have a...

BSODs, maybe Firefox or Flash
Hello! For the past several months, I have regularly experienced BSODs, between 0 and 5 a day. This is almost always when browsing with Firefox, and might sometimes coincide with Flash activities (like receiving a chat in Gmail). I have also been getting BSODs when attempting to use FBackup...

Hi. Please bear with me, I'm a PC novice. I'm using Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit. Recently I tried to make the Windows 7 version of Wordpad look like the Vista version using the following instructions: How to Get the Good Old Wordpad (without Ribbons) Working in Windows 7? - Tweaking with...

Problem replacing Win7 Wordpad with older Wordpad
I've been following the instructions here and here to get the old version of Wordpad working, however I have run into a problem. I downloaded the old version of Wordpad provided in the second link, since I don't have Vista, but when I try to overwrite the existing version on my computer, it won't...

replacing 7 Wordpad with ME/XP/Vista Wordpad?
I hear that it's possible, but I'm a complete novice at anything to do with DOS prompts or the registry. I've attempted the instructions given outside this forum but been unable to 'take ownership' of the files in order to replace them (and I'm not even sure just replacing those Wordpad system...
