    BSOD Brand New System ntoskrnl.exe+72a40

    So I had an HTPC setup, it runs MCEBUDDY to remove the commercials and then sync to my tablet in the middle of the night. The old system would randomly power itself off and give this error code when i turned it back on. Well I thought maybe the memory was failing so i replaced that, it still did it so I finally broker down and got this brand new system and ironically I am getting the exact same symptoms. This has to be due to a piece of software but I cannot figure out which one. Can someone please take a look at the dump files and let me know what else to try. Thank you so much in advance.

    Your dumps are blaming ftdibus.sys which seems to be a usb to serial adapter Driver Reference Table - ftdibus.sys

    Try finding an alternate driver or if you are not using it disable it.

    Code:

    *******************************************************************************
    *                                                                             *

    *                                                                             *
    *******************************************************************************
    Use !analyze -v to get detailed debugging information.

    thank you so much, that is the driver for my USB-UIRT device for changing channels for a STB in MCE. I will look around for an updated driver but I sincerely appreciate your help and your quick response.
