It's possible that the OEM customized the chipset and thus you can only use specific versions of the chipset driver. Not to worry at this point - best to open sysdm.cpl, click the "Advanced" tab, click the "Settings" button under the "Startup and recovery" section, and make sure it's set to "Kernel memory dump". Click the "OK" button, click the "Settings" button under the "Performance" section on the Advanced tab next, click the "Advanced" tab here, click the "Change" button, and make sure that the "Automatically manage the paging file..." box is checked at the top. Click the "OK" button and restart your computer.

You should now be set to get a memory dump the next time the system crashes.

Alright. So starting last night it started crashing every time I got past the login. Start bar wont show up, everything freezes and then it blue screens. In safe mode everything seems to be fine, so I don't really know what to do.

Here are the logs, updating OP as well.

Until you can boot in safe mode and switch the crash dump type to full, there's not much we can do with a minidump. They're frankly useless for this type of dump, because the error that triggers the crash in this case is happening in user mode.

I changed the settings before it started crashing last night, so I'm not really sure why it isn't creating dumps.

Could it be a memory problem? It's constantly freezing right after the welcome screen, then goes to a BSoD with "The Computer Browser service depends on the Server service which failed to start because of the following error: The dependency service or group failed to start." and failing to create a physical memory dump.

Hey everyone just an update.

Seems like it's my hard drive failing. So now I have two simple questions:

1. What's an upgrade to the current drive I have (Seagate Momentus 750GB)? Preferably under $100, if anyone has suggestions!

2. Since Windows 7 was pre-installed (I have the key on the sticker on the bottom of my laptop), what's the easiest way to get that on a new hard drive?

This BSOD occurs during shutdown. It happens every time I do a shutdown. The name of the driver at the bottom is different every time. (Picture Attached) This started happening after the last time I installed 10 MS critical updates. I don't think Win7 created a mini dump. Before this BSOD...

Periodic Kernel Inpage BSOD, "STOP: 0x0000007A"
I've been having issues with seemingly random BSOD for the last couple of months. Sometimes they'll be weeks apart, sometimes they're back to back. They can happen at boot, in the middle of a game. or simply sitting around idle when I'm not even at the keyboard. http://i.imgur.com/PmKDGvC.jpg...
