Yes, this time I uninstalled it from the Control Panel, rebooted and then installed from the downloaded folder. LAN is working now, but the driver date still shows 2014, so not sure if this is the latest one.

It's your Realtek and AMD drivers again. Can you post a screenshot of Device Manager with Network Adapters expanded please.

In the PCIe GBE Family window you have open there can you click on the Details tab then select Hardware Ids from the dropdown menu. Post a screenshot of the resulting window.

And just to clarify your ethernet controller is built into the motherboard yes? It's not an added in PCI card?

That's correct. I only have my Graphics card in the PCI slot

Download the Win7 driver from here (second driver down in the first table), make a restore point and try installing the downloaded driver.

You need to install the latest driver for your GPU as well, performing a clean install when you do.
