Windows 7: System service exception BSOD playing Starcraft 2

Additional info:

I opened system restore again and now my D: is listed as (D (System) ready to restore. All other drives including C: say the drive is not in the selected restore point. That is strange I always boot from the c: drive where I installed Win7.

Edit: I disconnected all external drives and for some reason it reassigned drive letters. I am currently running SFC /scannow /offbootdir=d:/ /offwindir=d:/windows. The first run it said could not perform the requested operation. The 2nd and 3rd times it said found corrupt files but was unable to fix some of them.

No. I've been fiddling with it all day and I still get the same BSOD. .

From the command prompt I can see all my files and drives are intact so I doubt it's my hard drive failing.

I'm starting to get desperate.

I'll ask for some more eyes to step in and take a look, I don't think it's your hard drive it's a driver that's been disabled. Are all of of your files backed up?

...I'll post a fix for these in the morning (off to bed now)
2 of the errors are due to another bungled Windows Update, and one is potentially a source of some sever problems with ActiveX, which could lead to BSOD.

They are not backed up.

Also: I ran the windows memory diagnostic and it found no problems.

I'm searching for my windows disc to do a repair and I'll prepare a flash drive to run memtest overnight.

I doubt it's a hardware issue but I do want to rule those out.

It seems like the problem really started around the time when I tried updating my Realtek drivers / uninstalled Daemon tools / and deleted old drivers from my Nvidia folder.

When I say "deleted old drivers from my Nvidia folder" I am referring to step 5 here: NVIDIA Drivers - Avoid Problems

Please see NoelDP's post above your last one. This is an underlying issue, work with Noel first and foremost and we'll pick up when he has finished his work. You're in good hands there.

Update: I went ahead and started Memtest since my PC was good for nothing else, and it turns out I am getting a lot of errors. I will find out which memory stick(s) are bad and replace them.
