multiple BSODs Playing league of legends

Hello,

My system has been stable for the past 5-6 months. Recently i tried playing witcher 3, but it was constantly crashing which prompted me to fiddle with my nvidia drivers. At first I updated to the latest one, but seeing a bunch of threads on reddit and other media that the drivers themselves were the problem I rolled them back. Its about that time everything started crashing (skype, mozila, etc.). Anyway, long story short, I gave up on the witcher and figured I'd play some LoL. To my surprise LoL started bsoding my machine. I tried clean driver re-install a couple of times, which only seems to change the behavior slightly. With some drivers I'd get bsods, while with others applications would just crash without freezing the pc. I've also tried playing other games (civ 5) and they have the same behavior.

Here is what I've tried so far.
1. I tried at least 5 different nvidia driver versions and, as stated above, the behavior does change (crash rather then bsod with some and bsod with others). I didn't see any pattern with driver versions - whether the pattern conforms to older-newer drivers. When reinstalling I always use the driver uninstaller tool in safemode and install after reboot.
2. I rolled back my network drivers, and then updated them again.
3. I updated what other drivers I could think of + windows update.
4. I removed and reslotted the video card.
5. I ran driver verifier for about 6 hours. It crashed at first but created no dump because for some reason my dumping options were not set (no clue how that happened). It hasn't crashed since.
6. I added a reg key in HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\GraphicsDrivers - TdrDdiDelay 32bit dword set to 0x20 also switched TdrDelay from 0x1E to 0x20.
7. I also ran full mall ware and virus scans.

I think that's it. Currenlty I'm using nvidia's 320.49 driver which is rather old and it appears that bsods have stopped, but everything still keeps crashing. Dunno what to do anymore, might try reinstalling windows tomorrow. At any rate, any help will be greatly appreciated.

Hello again,

I ran memtest86+ last night and it rather quickly found errors. I've removed the faulty boards and am gona test today. I think that should be it, it seems to fit the bill.
Even though there are no replies here, I did get the idea from similar posts, so thanks guys, keep up the good work.

Heya,

Just to confirm, crashes appear to have stopped since I removed the bad board. Marking as solved.
