Try running Seatools Long and Short Test on your Hard Drive along with check disk SeaTools for DOS and Windows - How to Use

If you run Memtest86+ for less than 8 Passes, you are wasting your time. It requires a minimum of 8 passes to completely check the ram, and with 16 GB of ram it will take 20 hours. I know what a pain it can be, been there, done that. I run it fairly often.

It passed both the short and long test in seatools. Right after the test my PC slowed down to a crawl and I couldn't even open any programs. So does that mean i can rule out hard drive being the cause of the problem ?

Not necessarily. No test is 100% accurate. The dump file lists a hard drive code and points to an I/O error. What information we have right now points to the hard drive. Please open an elevated command prompt ( click start, type cmd in the search box, right click on the cmd entry and select run as administrator) in the black box that opens, copy/paste sfc /scannow. If you decide to type it, notice the space between the sfc and the /. It is a system file checker which will scan your system files and attempt to correct any missing or corrupt files. What we want are the results to say windows found no integrity violations. If it says files were found but could not be repaired, close the box, reboot and run it again, after opening the administrative command prompt. You may have to reboot and run it three times for it to repair all system files. If it can't repair them after 3 reboots, let us know.

After that, please upload the BSOD posting instructions again. Blue Screen of Death (BSOD) Posting Instructions

I have ran the sfc Scannow in windows. It gave me this msg "Windows resource protection did not find any integrity viloations". So that sounds like its alright. 5mins later BSOD again. In a desperate attempt i even changed the sata cable. It still does not help. And thank you for all ur advice and help essenbe.

Try connecting the hard drive to a different port and see what happens. You will probably have to change it in the boot order in BIOS.

The dump analysis blames the card too.

    Code:

Those are NTFS errors. That is the windows file system. Logically, if the hard drive disappeared, the GPU drivers are on the hard drive so the card would have had no drivers.
