hello, Nooblet. First the 4770K is an extremely hot CPU. It takes a very good cooler to enable it to run Prime95, but you should be able to run it longer than you ran it. Are you sure you installed the Corsair properly? Applying thermal paste is an art. If you think you have enough on, it is too much. See if this may help you.

Can you take off the heat sink and then clean it again (sorry for the trouble) and put paste on it then take a pic to show us how much your using? IMO the only stuff I use on the 47xxk series is Gelid GC Extreme. It's what I get best results with. I recommend the dot method myself. Have you also tried using canary as opposed to chrome, and 64 bit versus 32? https://www.google.com/chrome/browser/canary.html

I agree with the others though that heat is your current issue, you may still have one with chrome after but this one should be fixed first. The H60 I think would benefit best from the dot method, I use this much and even that is prob too much for the block you have but should keep it good under load.

EDIT: Noticed you have not said what model paste you are using, can you tell us this please (AS5 ect.).

Lets see if I got things right.

1. Speccy shows cpu very hot.
2. You have double check cooler mounting, fans, and paste and found no problem.
3. You are not over clocked.
4. Memtest shows cpu at 45C.
5. You are using XMP.

I would stop using XMP because sometimes it will do crazy things with voltages.

Check your Vcore volts using this little program and take a look at vcore in bios. I would also check you ram volts. Let us know what they are.

Yeah canary is what i'm using now, it does update I swear like every 30 minutes though so every time you shutdown and turn your pc on its even more featured lol. Trying the stock cooler might be a good idea for testing, though it looks like from the shots that you are setting your fan curve for the rpm header of your pump and not your radiator fan. CPU2 should be the fan, CPU1 is your pump as it's in the 4500 range make sure your setting a curve for the right device. When you run a stress test does the rad fan spin up, you would be able to audibly hear it if it's trying to cope with 70+c heat?
