| Windows 7: 6 BSoD's in 2 weeks |

6 BSoD's in 2 weeks I've had a BSoD 6 times since I upgraded to 7 about 2 weeks ago. Each time it has happened while browsing the internet so I would almost assume it had something to do with either the browser or the wireless drivers. but I could be wrong. Also I'd really like to learn how to diagnose and treat this sort of thing for future reference so any videos or directions would be very helpful. Also I'm trying to figure out how to turn of the auto reboot so my computer wont shut down after the blue screen, I know that in XP it was as simple going to the system info and startup and recovery but i can't find that in 7. anywhoo, the 3 recent files attached. Thanks in advanced! | My System Specs |

Update or get rid of this driver and the crashes will almost certainly stop:

There does seem to be a way to revert that driver to legacy which will make it work correctly in Windows 7. Yes. I do that myself Chev, for my MOTU.
Just right click on the 1394 in device manager. Update driver software. Browse my computer. Let me pick. Then legacy will be shown.
My MOTU spazzes out completely with normal 1394 driver. Perfect with this, except for bsod very rarely. I can live with that.
The MOTU driver is supposed to compatible with Win 7 though. I'm trying to get the attention of engineers with analysis by H2SO4 about it. | My System Specs | | System Manufacturer/Model Number self built OS 7600.20510 x86 CPU P4 550 3.4 GHz HT running at 3.5 GHz Motherboard MSI PM8M3-V (MS-7211 v1.x) Micro-ATX mainboard Memory OCZ 2 GB(2x1GB) DDR400mHz running @ 414 mHz Graphics Card HIS Radeon HD 3850 IceQ 3 Turbo HDMI Dual DL-DVI AGP Sound Card MOTU Traveler firewire studio interface 192 kHz 24 bit Monitor(s) Displays 22" widescreen Acer X223W LCD, 17" Compaq P75 CRT Screen Resolution 1680x1050 and 1280x1024 Keyboard Logitch Classical Keyboard 200 Mouse Logitech Mediaplay cordless PSU 350W generic Case Cybertronpc, it glows blue Cooling stock cpu fan, Ice-Q 3 gpu and system, many case fans Hard Drives SATA I x2 WD, 400 GB and 120 GB, SATA 2 WD Caviar Black 1 TB Internet Speed 1792/448 kbits/sec Other Info SATA II PCI fake RAID adapter, 1 GB Readyboost, original ATI Remote Wonder (even works with WMC perfectly), Logitech Rumblepad 2 game controller x2 |

I figured if Zaq had a problem getting rid of that driver he could convert to lagacy and still use it. Seems to be decent work around for the problem. | My System Specs | | System Manufacturer/Model Number Home built OS Windows 7 Ult, Windows 8 Pro, CPU Q9650-4.275GHz, E8600 4.5GHz, E6750-3.8GHz Motherboard Evga 780i FTW Memory G.Skill PC2 9600 1200Mhz 5 5 5 15 2T Graphics Card GTX480 Sound Card Asus Xonar D2 Monitor(s) Displays HannsG Screen Resolution 1680X1050 Keyboard Logitech G15 Mouse Logitech G9 PSU ThermalTake Toughpower 1000Watt modular Case ThermalTake XaserV Cooling Xigmatek S1283 Hard Drives GSkill Phoenix Pro 120GB SSD Internet Speed T1 6 BSoD's in 2 weeks problems?
