BSOD seems to be isolated to using Google Chrome error 0x124 hal.dll

    Bug Code: 0x00000124

Hello, I am helping my father with his ASUS laptop which is a few years old. I am a PC tech at a local store so I have tried eliminating what I could and searching more on the internet but can't seem to come across a fix.

What I have done is test the hard drive in victoria, passed just fine. I also tested the RAM in memtest86+ 4.20 for over 9 hours, 4 passes.

I have reseated the RAM, updated all drivers to the most recent version, and asked my dad to see if he could reproduce the problem. As the same with the other BSOD's, he was on chrome when it happened.

Attached are my logs, please help!

I'm closing this down for now, since I seemed to fix my own problem. If you are viewing this thread because you have a similar issue, definitely try uninstalling and reinstalling chrome if you can't reproduce the problem on any other browsers!
