and perfect i will try an uninstall and reinstall of Kaspersky and let yous know how it goes.
For some reason this forum has messed up the order in which we posted! Confusing !

You can reinstall Kaspersky, it may have just been that a bug got into the Kaspersky files so even in a scan it wouldn't show up. Before re-installing i would suggest you download Malwarebytes Anti-Malware and run a Deep Scan.

Hope it works out for you.

Unfortunately that post does not relate to your problem!
  • Firstly your error is: DRIVER_IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL
  • Different Technical Information.
  • You are not using an Intel Video Adapter as your GTX is your video card.
Hope this helps.

computer name: USER-PC
windows version: Windows 7 Service Pack 1, 6.1, build: 7601
windows dir: C:\Windows
Hardware: ASUSTeK Computer INC., M4N68T Pro
CPU: AuthenticAMD AMD Phenom(tm) II X4 965 Processor AMD586, level: 16

Crash dump directory: C:\Windows\Minidump

Crash dumps are enabled on your computer.

On Wed 10/06/2015 13:25:07 GMT your computer crashed
crash dump file: C:\Windows\Minidump\061015-11996-01.dmp.dmp
This was probably caused by the following module: cmudaxp.sys (0xFFFFF88005037425)
Bugcheck code: 0xD1 (0xFFFFF88035874FF8, 0x2, 0x0, 0xFFFFF88005037425)
Error: DRIVER_IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL
file path: C:\Windows\system32\drivers\cmudaxp.sys
product: C-Media Audio Driver (WDM)
company: C-Media Inc
description: C-Media Audio WDM Driver
Bug check description: This indicates that a kernel-mode driver attempted to access pageable memory at a process IRQL that was too high.
This appears to be a typical software driver bug and is not likely to be caused by a hardware problem.
A third party driver was identified as the probable root cause of this system error. It is suggested you look for an update for the following driver: cmudaxp.sys (C-Media Audio WDM Driver, C-Media Inc).
Google query: C-Media Inc DRIVER_IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL

One crash dump has been found and analyzed. A third party driver has been identified to be causing system crashes on your computer. It is strongly suggested that you check for updates for these drivers on their company websites. Click on the links below to search with Google for updates for these drivers:

cmudaxp.sys (C-Media Audio WDM Driver, C-Media Inc)

If no updates for these drivers are available, try searching with Google on the names of these drivers in combination the errors that have been reported for these drivers and include the brand and model name of your computer as well in the query. This often yields interesting results from discussions from users who have been experiencing similar problems.

Just been on the phone to Kaspersky he has told me to completely remove the software and he is issuing an email with a new install which i have just received.

That's good! as for the report you uploaded, its strange C-Media isn't actually throwing the error - must be a false-positive!

Let me know how you get on uninstalling Kaspersky. Remember to use the uninstall tool I linked to - that is the only way of truly deleting it including bad registry keys.

What i'm trying to say is: The report you uploaded said that this other driver 'C-Media' was causing the issue.

As for the False-Positive - this 'C-Media' was probably running at the exact time as the Kaspersky driver therefore the logging software read 'C-Media' instead of Kaspersky as it didn't know which one to choose.

It is called a false positive because:
  1. False - It got the wrong driver name
  2. Positive - BUT it recognised there was an error
